midst of enormous
food surpluses, no
other approach to
fighting hunger makes
as much sense as food recovery.

 

 

Magic City Harvest utilizes over 800 volunteers throughout the year to:

  • Prepare and Distribute our World Hunger Day meals to approx 3,000 men, women and children as well as prepare and distribute the 1,500 box lunches for our “public” fundraising part of this annual event

  • Pick-up Baked Items (refrigeration not required)

  • Currently Magic City Harvest has 2 bread teams: one from Temple Emanu-El Temple Beth El and one team from Canterbury UMC. These teams recover bread each night from 3 different Panera units.

  • Solicit New Food Donors

  • Provide general Program Support

  • Create 600 bowls for our Empty Bowls Spring Event as well as staffing this event at St. Vincent’s Hospital

  • Provide volunteer assistance
     

  • Become a food donor
