Co-convened the first statewide ALABAMA HUNGER SUMMIT

2005 Co-established the Food Security
Coalition of Jefferson County.
750,000 lbs of  food donated and distributed.
 
2006 Over 800,000 lbs of food distributed to more than 30 feeding programs in Jefferson, Shelby and Talladega counties.
Collaborated with Bluff Park UMC – CORE unit – to recover 60,000 lbs of excess food left over when the gulf coast CORE efforts were closed down (feeding Katrina relief volunteers).  Partnership made thru referral from Urban Ministry, a MCH food recipient agency and fellow member of the Food Security Coalition.
